Toby

Toby was named Clyde when we first saw him. My son wanted a cat, and i was so worried that we would have a cat like the last cat we owned - sick, bad habits, etc. So this time, we decided to use Cat Matchers. We went to an adoption event, and then without looking at the cats, asked the volunteer to start describing the cats. She described several, then started telling us about Clyde: had been around a great dane and a chihuahua, was litter box trained, was mellow, was 8 months old. My son and i looked at each other - said - THAT is the cat - where is he?!!! So they showed us Clyde - whom would have been the cat I would have picked out of the twenty or so cats that were there - had i seen him first. We were thrilled. My son named him Toby before we even arrived home. It took about 2 weeks of work, - the cat was FINE, but our dogs had to learn to have a cat around again. The volunteer was so correct - Toby is extremely mellow and lovable, very litter box trained, and loves
our dogs. He will sleep curled up with our yorkie, and or our lab. He is fearless with our dogs - and thinks he is one of them - except that he can jump! He still does not get on counters - the volunteer had worked with him on this previously. Toby just was the perfect cat, the volunteer was very honest about all the cats, and i can see the hard work the volunteer had put in, to train Toby to be a good cat, for the the 4 months she had Toby. We love Cat Matchers, and have referred several families - why go anywhere else - the loving volunteer did all the work - we get so many rewards - and are forever thankful to Cat Matchers! And - he loves our little grandson - who carries him everywhere!
